Some Points to Clarify

1.  School starts promptly at 8:45.  Children who are not in their classrooms by 8:45 will be counted tardy.  Students are allowed to enter the building at 8:20 and go to the gym until the first bell rings at 8:30.  They may then go to their classrooms.
2. When your student is absent (for any reason) call 413-6901 by 9:00 a.m. This is a 24 hour recorded line.
3. Please put student names and ID (lunch) numbers on all checks that come to school.
4. It is helpful if the younger children can practice entering their ID (lunch) numbers on a key pad or on the sheet we sent home. It reduces the serving time at lunch if they can get their numbers entered efficiently.
5. Please write your student's name and teacher's name on all notes sent in to the office/teacher.
6. Please send a note if your child’s dismissal routine changes. Teachers are instructed to send children home the same way every day. We will only change that routine with written notification. If an unexpected change occurs, you may call the school office before 3:00 (2:30 on early release Thursdays) to change the routine. We prefer the written note and ask that phone calls only be used in an emergency.
7. Parents are asked to allow children to walk to their classrooms unescorted after the first week of school.
8. We do not allow children to cross between cars in the car rider line. Please stay in line and pull as far forward as possible. We will load all the cars in line and dismiss the line at once. Please do not pull your car out of line and risk hitting another car or student.
9. When you are sending notes to change dismissal procedures for your child, please send one note for each day with the date, teacher's name and student's name.
10. Please drop choir students off at the front doors (south side) of the building on practice days.
