The new last day will
be a HALF day on Thursday, May 29.
NKC Schools had five
snow days this year, but the Board is only requiring four to be made up. This
will enable May 30 to be a teacher prep day for summer school which will begin,
as scheduled , on Monday, June 2.
NKC Schools original
2013-14 academic calendar included 177 student days. By making up four days,
the new total will be 176. Missouri requires a minimum of 174 days, so
the district still will exceed the state requirement by two.
